2024 Ordevian of Distinction

🎉 Congratulations to Laurelle Davis, M.A., LAMFT – Rdevia’s 2024 Ordevian of Distinction! 🎉


We are honored to recognize Laurelle Davis, National Coordinator, as our 4th Ordevian of Distinction. 


The Ordevian of Distinction is awarded once in a lifetime to an Ordevian (Member of Rdevia) who has gone beyond the call of duty. As Ordevian of Distinction, Madam Laurelle will join the Board of Visitors for the next two years.


About Laurelle Davis, M.A., LAMFT


Laurelle has been part of Rdevia since its founding in 2015 at Florida Memorial University and her contributions over the years have been nothing short of extraordinary. Her impact includes:


  • Supporting fundraising efforts that have driven our growth and sustainability.

  • Co-leading our HBCU Symposiums at Florida Memorial University, amplifying the voices of HBCU leaders and students.

  • Developing and nurturing key partnerships with Black-Owned Businesses to support Rdevia’s mission.

  • Spearheading Dew in the Morning for the past few years, a signature program that has become our highlight of the year.

  • Leading the development of our new internship program, creating pathways for professional growth and opportunities for students.


Beyond her work with Rdevia, Laurelle is an HBCU graduate of Florida Memorial University where she joined Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and interned with the Trayvon Martin Foundation. She has since become a two-time master’s degree holder from both Fairleigh Dickinson University and Valdosta State University and a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT). Laurelle has experience working in crisis settings with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and family settings. Her dedication to mental health reflects her passion for uplifting and empowering others.


Laurelle’s unique perspective and skills have enriched Rdevia’s impact and strengthened our commitment to serving the HBCU community.

ABOUT RDEVIA

Rdevia (arr-deh-vee-uh) is a Public Charitable 501(C)(3) Nonprofit Organization that provides opportunities and resources like scholarships, care packages, and professional development to HBCU Prospects, Students, and Graduates. Rdevia was founded on March 5, 2015 by Marquise M. McGriff, M.A., CCSP, during his first year as a student at Florida Memorial University.
